Why you want a TrapEaze DOC 200 trapping tool

A trapeaze trapping tool makes clearing and cleaning DOC200 traps safe and easy

Let me explain why you want a TrapEaze DOC 200 trapping tool. It's always a juggle trying to secure the kill bar up when you've caught a critter, to clear and clean your trap.

There are a variety of ways trappers do this; using a safety catch - which can be tricky to secure because your trap won't easily 'set' whilst there is something sitting on the plate. It's also tricky to hold the kill bar up with one hand whilst putting the safety catch on with the other.

Some trappers shove their screwdriver through the handle down the back of the box... this works quite well but if the spacing of the trap is close to the box it can be hard to fit the screwdriver down the back and even harder to remove it.

Some trappers will hold the kill bar up with one hand and clear with the other.... This can be done but it's not very safe and it's also very difficult to give your plate & trap a good clean one-handed. The trap box will also often tip, due to the strength of the trap, if not held down with your other hand.

Forget all that! TrapEaze makes this process incredibly simple.

Hook the tool onto the trap handle, pull half way up, hook it onto the side of your box trap (or onto the back of the mechanism if using plastic housing traps) and your kill bar is held open safely while you give your trap a good clean.

Be careful not to knock the handle of the Trapeaze tool upwards whilst hooked onto the box You would have to give it a fair whack to dislodge the sharp hook, but it's something to be aware of.

From there, once your trap plate is nice and clean, you simple dislodge the hook and keep pulling the handle toward you. Your trap will set without any need to touch the trap with your hands.

Do yourself a favour and get yourself a TrapEaze trapping tool - it's a gamechanger for all trappers!
